Nina Ball graduated from the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts in the Scenography Masterclass led by Prof. Erich Wonder.
During her studies she assisted on numerous productions by Andrea Breth, Luc Bondy, Peter Zadek a.o., working with designers such as Bert Neumann and Karl Kneidl.
Between 2009 and 2012 she was costume- and set supervisor for world tours of ‘The Infernal Comedy‘ and ‘The Giacomo Variations‘, directed by Michael Sturminger and starring John Malkovich.
Since 2005 she enjoyed a busy career as a stage- and costume designer, creating designs for productions in many of Europe’s leading venues, including the Volkstheater and Konzerthaus Vienna, the Luxembourg Philharmonie, Cologne Philharmonie and the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.
Her scenography for Paulus Manker's theater piece ’Alma - a Show Biz ans Ende' was nominated for the 2007 Nestroy Prize.
In addition to her work as a stage- and costume designer, she has been a lecturer in media and digital technologies at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences since 2018.
